I had the privilege of documenting the Indigenous Youth Roots conference on Kwanlin Dün territory in Whitehorse, Yukon.

This multi-day gathering served as a gathering for Indigenous youth from across Turtle Island, who traveled to the North for a powerful series of workshops, traditional learning sessions, and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. My work focused on capturing the connections, land-based teachings, and fun activities as these young change-makers bridged ancestral wisdom with contemporary innovation.

It was a neat opportunity to see Juno Award-nominated Tia Wood perform, she has such an amazing voice! Learning about different uses for different plants and animals was also illumnating.

I hope to foster more relationships with passionate youth from many different communities.
